Seeing Others as God

Think of everyone you meet as being the same as God. It’s the perfect oneness that the Course is talking about. In our natural state we’re no different from God, and it’s not arrogance to think that. It’s arrogance to think that somehow we could be separate from God. A Perfect, Cosmic Orgasm

A Course in Miracles is not a religion. It’s not something you have to believe in or proselytize for. You don’t have to convince anybody it’s the right way. At the end of the day, spirituality is a personal thing. It’s something that’s done between you and the Holy Spirit or Jesus or J or Y’Shua (or J-Dog) or whatever you want to call it. It doesn’t matter. In the end, it leads to a personal experience of our intimate relationship with God. Is the Human Race Good?

Einstein once asked a serious question: Is the human race good? Given the nature of the ego, that’s a legitimate question. Under the dominance of the ego, the human race is at best split between good and bad, and that’s on a good day. It’s only if the mind is dominated by the thoughts of the Holy Spirit, which is something we have to choose for ourselves, that humans become increasingly good and eventually return to the Divine.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

The Holy Spirit Sees Sameness

The ego loves differences. How can you have judgment without differences? How can you have war and murder and violence without differences? So the ego wants you to think that all this separation you’re seeing is true. That’s what makes it real for you – your belief in it. That’s what gives it power. The ego craves contrasts and cons you into believing in them in the world, but the Holy Spirit sees sameness. Yes, the Holy Spirit will contrast its thought system with the thought system of the ego. Think Like the Holy Spirit

If you want to return to spirit, think like the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit overlooks the body, which is a false image, and thinks of the truth that is beyond the veil of illusion. This truth is perfect oneness and innocence, exactly the same as God. And thinking of other people that way is spiritual sight.

The Rock of God

Thirty or forty years from now, they’ll have to do that anyway. The body isn’t gonna last forever. So why not use that time to build something that will last forever. That is the difference between building your house upon the rock or upon the sand.

And you know what? You can still have the sand, too! You can live your normal life, forgive as you go along, and still build your house upon the rock of God. This is a very practical spiritual path because it’s not about changing your life – it’s about changing your mind about your life.

There is No Hell

According to Jesus (in A Course in Miracles) anything that isn’t the perfect oneness of Heaven is hell. And you know, when you think about it, all the scary things you see in those old books that have drawings of hell – people burning and being decapitated and stuff – can actually happen to you here! You don’t have to go to hell for that, because if you’re not in Heaven then you are in hell. How You See Others

If it’s true that as you see them you will see yourself, and it is true, then if you go through life seeing people and the world as an illusion, then you will eventually think of yourself in your own unconscious mind as an illusion. You’ll feel empty and meaningless, which will leave you depressed. Unconscious Resistance

Don’t forget, there’s tremendous unconscious resistance to really getting this (the Holy Spirit's true forgiveness) and doing it. It’s not a matter of intelligence; it’s a question of the ego’s resistance. This is death to the ego, and on some level the ego senses it. And the ego will come up with a thousand different ways to distract you from the truth. Of course its first goal is to convince you that you’re a body, but it will come up with many other distractions as well. True Forgiveness is the Way to Heaven

It’s good to know Heaven won’t ever change – that there’s something you can depend on forever. It’s also good to know for sure that true forgiveness is the way to get there. A Bonehead Move to Leave Home

The power that lights up the universe of time and space, and makes it seem so real to us is the power of our belief. Of itself, the universe is nothing. It’s a projection that is coming from the deep canyons of our own collective, unconscious mind. And we, as one seemingly separate ego mind, are the cause of it. It wasn’t a good idea, no more than it was a good idea for the prodigal son in Jesus' profound mis-creation story to leave home. In fact, it was a bonehead move. All he found was scarcity. Your Body is Just a Projection

Utilizing the Means of Forgiveness

It’s not what you know – it’s what you do with what you know. It’s the application that matters, which is why the mind-training aspect of A Course in Miracles is paramount. Without applying it, it’s just another theory. As the Course itself says, “This is not a course in philosophical speculation, nor is it concerned with precise terminology. It is concerned only with Atonement, or the correction of perception. The means of the Atonement is forgiveness." Imagine Being Fearless

At the time of the Crucifixion, Jesus couldn’t feel any pain whatsoever. He could not suffer. That’s just one reason why the idea of him suffering and sacrificing himself for the sins of others is the biggest myth in human history. He couldn’t suffer, and sacrifice wasn’t a part of his perception. A body can sacrifice itself, if you identify with it, but the lesson of the Crucifixion was that Jesus could not be hurt, because he was not a body.

He didn’t identify himself with the body. In his mind he was experiencing his perfect oneness with God. What he really was could not be killed. It’s possible for you to experience that. Imagine appearing to walk the earth as Jesus did, feeling completely invulnerable and totally fearless?

Stop Making it Real!

What would the Holy Spirit advise you to do about a situation? STOP MAKING IT REAL. Your judgment and reactions make it real, but now you can realize that the reason you see others as being guilty is because you wanted the guilt to be in them instead of you. So to undo it, you reverse the projection.
