The Light of the World

In 2011, I was speaking at the International A Course in Miracles Conference in San Francisco. It was my fourth time in a row speaking at this particular biannual conference. The organizers wanted to call it “Listen, Learn, and Do,” and when I got there I noticed that many of the participants were asking each other, “What do we do? What do we do?” When I got up to speak to the large group, I couldn’t help but remind them: “The Course says, ‘Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world.’ Well, if forgiveness is your function as the light of the world, what the hell do you think you do?”

The Salvation of Humanity

In this illusory world, you never know where forgiveness, and the Holy Spirit, will lead you. The process can result in unpredictable resolutions of conflict that no one could have dreamed would be resolved. It can lead to meetings with many people who will become part of your life, and they may help you accomplish things for the greater good – not because they have to, but just because they want to.

And because you have been prepared to listen, through the grace of the Holy Spirit, you may be led to a fork in the path that, taken the right way, will contribute to the healing of the mind and the salvation of humanity. And of course, there are the everyday situations in your life that humanity doesn’t care about, which if forgiven, will bring you peace. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Living the Happy Dream

It’s possible to live the happy dream that Jesus talks about in A Course in Miracles. His Course is a happy form of spirituality. It’s not the suffering, morose, religious dogma that people are used to. In fact, it guarantees you a happy ending to this whole predicament you seem to find yourself in.

Serial Hallucinations

Our lifetimes are illusory dreams of life in the body. So while most view previous lifetimes as physical incarnations, the Course would think of them as serial hallucinations that need to be dispelled rather than cherished. It’s very tempting to take pride in a previous life that was seemingly important, making it, and the body, real. People who remember those lifetimes usually remember the remarkable ones and seldom recall the lifetimes they died in prison or with their face in the gutter. The ego wants to make things attractive and keep us coming back for more.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

So What if it Takes Time

I was doing a workshop, and there was a lady in the audience who was 80 years old. I told the crowd it could take ten years to get really good at practicing forgiveness. It’s like playing a musical instrument. It takes time, and you have to practice every day. She came up to me during the break and said, “Ten years? If it takes me ten years to do this, I’ll be 90!” I thought for a few seconds, and then asked her, “How old will you be in ten years if you don’t do it?” Later I was talking about undoing the ego, and awakening, and I asked the audience members, “So what if it takes time? You haven’t got anything better to do.”  ~ Gary Renard, Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

The Ego Denies the Truth; The Holy Spirit Denies the Ego

If there is no world, then there was no world that was here before you came here, and there is no world that will be here for you to leave behind when you go. It never existed, and neither did you as a separate being. What you really, and what you always will be, is perfect spirit, in a condition of perfect oneness with your Creator. Always remember this: The ego denies the truth; The Holy Spirit denies the ego; The choice for Holiness is mine.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Changing Your Identity

J didn’t stop with the paralysis of analysis. He went all the way with this. He completely replaced the thought system of the ego with the thought system of the Holy Spirit, and taught that spiritual sight is thinking outside of the box, outside of the system completely. By looking beyond the veil to a reality that is outside of the dream that you can awaken to, it’s possible to change your identity from being a body to being something that is totally unlimited, changeless, and eternal.

Spiritual Sight

The Holy Spirit doesn’t think in terms of separation. It sees wholeness everywhere. And by “sees” I mean that’s the way the Holy Spirit thinks. It’s the way you think that constitutes spiritual sight. It doesn’t have anything to do with the body’s eyes, even though you can see symbols of spirit in the world. They’re still just symbols. Reality cannot be seen with the body’s eyes, but it can be experienced by the mind. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

I'm Innocent, You're Innocent

I’m innocent, and God loves me unconditionally. All God wants to do is take care of me forever, because God knows I’m just as innocent as God Itself. Picture yourself joining with God and extending into infinity. You’re unlimited, free of the body, and totally taken care of by God.

Mind is Mind

Christianity doesn’t believe that animals have a soul, but the truth is that mind is mind, and it doesn’t matter what the container appears to be.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Forgiving Past Lives

Past lifetimes are serial dreams, and the only real value they have is to learn how to use them for forgiveness, especially since the same forgiveness lessons are being presented to you again in this lifetime. The form may be different, but the lesson and the meaning are the same.

Sick Bodies or Healthy Bodies

You can’t be attached to outcomes or else you’re making the whole thing real. People want to attach a value to everything, including bodies, and they don’t realize it’s all subjective. If they’re on a spiritual path, then they assume that it’s more spiritual to have a healthy body than a sick body. But is it? There are athletes who have the healthiest bodies in the world but they’re not necessarily spiritually mature. On the other hand, there are very spiritual people who have sick bodies. The truth is that when you were going to get sick was already determined before you ever appeared to come here, just like everything else. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life  Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Dimensions of Time

The idea of parallel universes and multiple dimensions of time exist in several scientific theories. It’s not just the metaphysicians and those into spirituality who think they exist, and they do exist within the illusion. But the nature of dimensions is not known by scientists, for when lessons are learned and these dimensions become unnecessary, they are erased by the Holy Spirit, never to be seen again.

Rich or Poor, Doesn't Matter

I remember my parents felt very guilty because they didn’t have any money. And since my books have come out, I’ve met a lot of people who feel very guilty because they have so much money. You can’t win. People will feel guilty because they don’t have any money, and they’ll feel guilty because they have too much. They’ll feel guilty for any reason at all! We need to give ourselves a break. We have to realize it doesn’t matter if you’re rich, and it doesn’t matter if you’re poor because neither one is true. And if neither one is true, then neither one can be more spiritual than the other.

Nothing Wrong with Having Preferences

You become attached to rules and religions, but with a preference you don’t have to be attached to an outcome. It’s a choice that you make. But it’s not something you’re overzealous about. You can lighten up and enjoy life, and be prepared to forgive no matter what appears to happen.

Love-Hate Relationships

If you tell people to choose love instead of fear, which is a superficial teaching unless it’s explained much further, most of them will think you’re talking about THEIR love. But that’s not what A Course in Miracles is talking about. It’s talking about the perfect love of God. The world’s idea of love is what the Course would call special love, because it doesn’t apply to everyone, only those special individuals whom you have chose to love.

Most people also have special hate relationships in their lives that they’ve chosen to project their unconscious guilt onto. And of course, it’s possible to do both by having a love-hate relationship. But in the case of special love and special hate, it’s obviously a lot easier to forgive the ones you think you love and very difficult to forgive the ones you don’t think you love.

The thing to remember is that real loves forgives everyone and everything without exception. It knows what people really are. They’re not real people. They’re perfect love, which is the same way they were created by God.   ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Throwing the Ego a Bone

There’s nothing wrong with using what A Course in Miracles would refer to as “magic.” Magic is when you try to heal an illusion by using other illusions – for example, trying to heal pain by using medicine or surgery. Those methods are often necessary for people to be healed. If they were healed spontaneously without magic, their ego may become too fearful and find an even worse way to hurt them.

There’s nothing wrong with throwing the ego a bone once in a while, especially if you know you’re doing it. Besides, everything in the illusion is magic. Water is magic. Oxygen is magic. It doesn’t mean you don’t use them while you appear to be here. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Perfect Love

Perfect love is not the world’s idea of love. This love is not only perfect, but as both the Bible and A Course in Miracles say, "Perfect love casts out fear." Perfect love and fear cannot coexist. Perfect love is all-encompassing. This is a kind of love that you cannot withhold from anyone or else you will not experience it for yourself. If it’s not all-encompassing, then it’s not real.

A Course in Miracles Teachers

As far as A Course in Miracles teachers go, when they have the guided guts to go out there on TV and tell people what the Course actually says – that there is no world; that we forgive people not because they’ve really done something, but because they haven’t really done anything because they don’t exist; and that the unconscious mind will never be healed until you know the difference between reality and the dream, and are loyal to only one of those things in your mind – then they can call themselves A Course in Miracles teachers. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

What's Really Upsetting You

The guilt that you didn’t know about, which is hidden in the deep canyons of your unconscious mind, goes all the way back to the original idea of being separate from God, which is the so-called original sin that is really the source of your upsets. But then you assign the reason for your upset to be something outside of yourself, because that’s where you projected it. So you think you’re upset because you’re not going to have enough money for your retirement, or because the terrorists are going to blow up your airplane, and you forget that it’s not the projection at all that’s really upsetting you, but its source in the mind. And the solution lies in your forgiveness of this illusory projection, which is your small part of the job, allowing the Holy Spirit to take care of the big part of the job, which is the healing that you can’t see but can experience.

Keep Your Chin Up

(In regards to shocking world events) Remember, don’t make it real. Just notice it and then forgive it. It’s like you’re watching a virtual-reality video game, and there’s no one else in the room. It’s just you. There isn’t really anyone else with you, except the Holy Spirit, and there’s not really anyone on the screen. And what you’re seeing is not true. Keep your chin up and keep on forgiving. Choose the miracle of forgiveness. For as J teaches you, “Reality belongs only to spirit, and the miracle acknowledges only truth.” ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

The Universe is not Infinite

Many believe that your universe is infinite, but it’s not infinite. As the Course teaches, through the Holy Spirit, there were limits put on your ability to mis-create. And all will eventually accept the truth. As J also teaches, “The acceptance of the Atonement by everyone is only a matter of time. This may appear to contradict free will because of the inevitability of the final decision, but this is not so.”

Don't Get Stuck Analyzing the Problem

Just as you have two interpretations of other people – the ego’s interpretation and the Holy Spirit’s interpretation – there are also two interpretations of you. Most people choose the ego’s version because they don’t know there’s a better way. But once you know there’s a better way, you’ve got to go all the way.

J didn’t stop with exposing the ego or describing the problem. Anyone can describe the problem, but they don’t give you a way out. They don’t give you any resolution. They don’t show you the way home. So then they’re stuck with analyzing the problem, and when they do that, they make it real.

Enjoy Your Life More

When people first get into this kind of work, they think that they’ve giving something up by seeing it as being a dream that’s not real. But what I find is that I enjoy my life more. It’s like when I go to the movies. I know it’s not real, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying it. In fact, I enjoy it more. I like listening to music more today than ever. To me, this isn’t about giving up the walks on the beach or the beautiful sunsets or the great art. The less guilty you feel and the less fear you feel, the more you enjoy those things.   ~ Gary Renard, Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

The Body is Just a Symptom

The script that the Holy Spirit wrote does not take place in the world. Remember, there is no world! And I think you know that even though this is a course in cause and not effect, the first thing most Course teachers and students do is take the Course and put it right out there on the screen and make it about fixing the world. So now they’re going to save a world that isn’t there. No. The Holy Spirit’s script is a different interpretation of the ego’s script. The ego’s script is what happens. You could also call it karma. That’s a false, illusory cause and effect that seems to happen on the screen, including what appears to happen to your own body. But even the body is just an effect. It’s a symptom, a symbol of separation. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life  Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

The Ego Loves Differences

The ego loves differences. How can you have judgment without differences? How can you have war and murder and violence without differences? So the ego wants you to think that all this separation you’re seeing is true. That’s what makes it real for you – your belief in it. That’s what gives it power. The ego craves contrasts and cons you into believing in them in the world, but the Holy Spirit sees sameness. Yes, the Holy Spirit will contrast its thought system with the thought system of the ego. But that is the proper use of contrast, because one is true and one is not.

The Love is Almost Too Much

We’re manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Our images are used to teach, not for anything else. When we’re not communicating with you, Gary, we are home in God. It’s a glorious existence. No such thing as lack or problems or death or loneliness. There’s such a fullness and a wholeness. It’s complete. And the love is almost too much. Your cup really does runneth over. If you knew the joy that awaits you, you’d be jumping up and down right now.   Arten & Pursah speaking to Gary Renard ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto
