Sleeping and Waking Dreams

Pursah: You've experienced wet dreams in your lifetime, right?
Gary: Getting a little personal, aren't we?
Pursah: Just for a minute - to make a point. When you were in those kinds of dreams that seemed so real, where were you feeling the woman?
Gary: You mean what part of her body was I feeling?
Pursah: No. MEN. I mean, where were you REALLY feeling here?

Pursah: Excellent. THIS dream, which you take as your real life, is no different. Yes, it feels very real to you, yet you can have the same experience in a dream in your sleep at night. Your body even responds to it as though it's real. Your heart pumps harder; you breathe harder, and I won't even mention what else gets harder.

Acts of True Forgiveness

God's Final Judgment

Is each one to be judged in the end? Indeed, yes! No one can escape God’s Final Judgment. Who could flee forever from the truth? But the Final Judgment will not come until it is no longer associated with fear. One day each one will welcome it, and on that very day it will be given him.

Go At Your Own Pace

The Course is set up so you can live what you thought was your life and gradually attain your salvation at the same time. Go at your own pace. That way you won't feel like anything is being taken away from you, and you can realize for yourself that the world has no value.

Birth is Not a Miracle

Each time a baby appears to be born into this world, it is merely reliving the time when it seemed to leave its perfect environment in God – where all was nirvana and it was completely taken care of and provided for - and then suddenly found itself slapped in the face by a seeming reality that was a living hell in comparison. You may think of birth as a miracle, but babies don’t come into this world smiling, do they? Real Forgiveness

You shouldn’t fall for the ego’s brand of forgiveness which is the world’s ineffective and traditional way of forgiving others. Your brothers and sisters - including your mother and father - haven’t really done what you think they’ve done, and remembering that fact is vital. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

Mikey's Note:  The world's way of forgiveness makes everything real, and thus won't undo what you secretly believe to be true about yourself in your unconscious mind.

The Course's way of forgiveness recognizes that nothing has happened, you made up what you are seeing (albeit not on this level.) And by applying that idea to whatever comes up in front of your face on any given day is the way to heal the buried muck in your unconscious. As the Course teaches, "The secret of salvation is but this: that you are doing this unto yourself." Simple concept but not always easy to apply.
