Ending Unpleasant Patterns

It’s crucial to take advantage of the lessons that are presented to you on any given day. Those are the lessons the Holy Spirit wants you to learn. You Have Work to Do

Any attempt to remain in the present moment will fail unless certain work is done by the student. That’s because there is something in the mind that prevents you from STAYING in the present moment. Most spiritualities don’t even know about it, much less teach you how to have it healed. Your Actions Don't Really Matter

Why would it matter what happens in an illusion, unless you have given the illusion a power it does not and can not have? How could it matter what result is produced in a particular situation unless you have made a false idol out of the situation? The Course is Purely Non-Dualistic

Bill (Thetford) understood what the Course was saying. Only the perfect, non-dualistic oneness of God is real, and nothing else is real, which is exactly what that ancient Hindu text, the Vedanta, was saying, although of course, people then took it and misinterpreted it in much the same way they're doing today with the Course.

It’s imperative that you stick to the message of the Course. Don’t compromise on it. A Course in Miracles is purely non-dualistic. We don’t want the same thing to happen to the message of the Course that happened to J’s message 2,000 years ago. That’s one of the main reasons we’re back: to help keep people focused, including you. We want you to tell it straight, and if someone criticizes you or your message, then after you forgive them, tell them that they are in error. The Happy Dream

The happy dream is necessary because if the rug of time and space got pulled out from under me suddenly, it would be too much for me to handle. The dream of separation seems too real for me to wake up suddenly without crapping a brick. Like the Course puts it:

Nothing Will Make You Happy Here

A Peaceful Mind

Sin is not Real

When you are tempted to believe that sin is real, remember this: If sin is real, both God and you are not. If sin is real, God must be at war with Himself. He must be split, and torn between good and evil; partly sane and partially insane. For He must have created what wills to destroy Him, and has the power to do so. Is it not easier to believe that you have been mistaken than to believe in this.
