I.R.S.

Just when you think you’ve got enough to forgive, the IRS shows up.

The Light of the World

In 2011, I was speaking at the International A Course in Miracles Conference in San Francisco. It was my fourth time in a row speaking at this particular biannual conference. The organizers wanted to call it “Listen, Learn, and Do,” and when I got there I noticed that many of the participants were asking each other, “What do we do? What do we do?” When I got up to speak to the large group, I couldn’t help but remind them: “The Course says, ‘Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world.’ Well, if forgiveness is your function as the light of the world, what the hell do you think you do?”

The Salvation of Humanity

In this illusory world, you never know where forgiveness, and the Holy Spirit, will lead you. The process can result in unpredictable resolutions of conflict that no one could have dreamed would be resolved. It can lead to meetings with many people who will become part of your life, and they may help you accomplish things for the greater good – not because they have to, but just because they want to.

And because you have been prepared to listen, through the grace of the Holy Spirit, you may be led to a fork in the path that, taken the right way, will contribute to the healing of the mind and the salvation of humanity. And of course, there are the everyday situations in your life that humanity doesn’t care about, which if forgiven, will bring you peace. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Living the Happy Dream

It’s possible to live the happy dream that Jesus talks about in A Course in Miracles. His Course is a happy form of spirituality. It’s not the suffering, morose, religious dogma that people are used to. In fact, it guarantees you a happy ending to this whole predicament you seem to find yourself in.

Serial Hallucinations

Our lifetimes are illusory dreams of life in the body. So while most view previous lifetimes as physical incarnations, the Course would think of them as serial hallucinations that need to be dispelled rather than cherished. It’s very tempting to take pride in a previous life that was seemingly important, making it, and the body, real. People who remember those lifetimes usually remember the remarkable ones and seldom recall the lifetimes they died in prison or with their face in the gutter. The ego wants to make things attractive and keep us coming back for more.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

So What if it Takes Time

I was doing a workshop, and there was a lady in the audience who was 80 years old. I told the crowd it could take ten years to get really good at practicing forgiveness. It’s like playing a musical instrument. It takes time, and you have to practice every day. She came up to me during the break and said, “Ten years? If it takes me ten years to do this, I’ll be 90!” I thought for a few seconds, and then asked her, “How old will you be in ten years if you don’t do it?” Later I was talking about undoing the ego, and awakening, and I asked the audience members, “So what if it takes time? You haven’t got anything better to do.”  ~ Gary Renard, Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/photo

The Ego Denies the Truth; The Holy Spirit Denies the Ego

If there is no world, then there was no world that was here before you came here, and there is no world that will be here for you to leave behind when you go. It never existed, and neither did you as a separate being. What you really, and what you always will be, is perfect spirit, in a condition of perfect oneness with your Creator. Always remember this: The ego denies the truth; The Holy Spirit denies the ego; The choice for Holiness is mine.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

True Freedom

Our true freedom lies in looking past the illusory world and awakening to the real one.

Changing Your Identity

J didn’t stop with the paralysis of analysis. He went all the way with this. He completely replaced the thought system of the ego with the thought system of the Holy Spirit, and taught that spiritual sight is thinking outside of the box, outside of the system completely. By looking beyond the veil to a reality that is outside of the dream that you can awaken to, it’s possible to change your identity from being a body to being something that is totally unlimited, changeless, and eternal.

Spiritual Sight

The Holy Spirit doesn’t think in terms of separation. It sees wholeness everywhere. And by “sees” I mean that’s the way the Holy Spirit thinks. It’s the way you think that constitutes spiritual sight. It doesn’t have anything to do with the body’s eyes, even though you can see symbols of spirit in the world. They’re still just symbols. Reality cannot be seen with the body’s eyes, but it can be experienced by the mind. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/photo
