Compromise = No Truth

One of the fundamental differences between the teachings of J and the teachings of the world is this: The teachings of the world are the product of a split, unconscious mind. Once you have that, you have compromise; and once you have compromise, you no longer have the truth.

It's ALL in your Mind

Gary: Are you trying to tell me that my life is all in my head?
Arten: It's all in your mind.
Gary: My head is in my mind?
Arten: Your head, your brain, your body, your world, your entire universe, any parallel universes, and anything else that can be perceived are projections of the mind. They are all symbolic of just one thought. An even better way of thinking about this is to consider your universe to be a dream.

Love Need Nothing

With the Holy Spirit, everything you do can be an expression of love. Then it’s not what you do that matters – it’s the love. If you’re coming from a loving place, you’re not going to be doing bad things; you’re going to be doing good things. The forgiveness that undoes the ego leads to love automatically, because love and spirit are synonymous. Now what’s in your mind, which is cause, is love, instead of the ego. Love needs nothing because it already has everything in a condition of oneness with spirit. You don’t have to get anything from anybody.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Not Important

It’s heresy to the ego to think that what you do is not important. Of course what I do is important! Of course what happens in my life is very important! Why? You believe in it. If you didn’t believe it, it wouldn’t be important.

Having Children and Enlightenment

It’s not unusual for people who are having their last lifetime, or even the next to last, to not have children. The attraction of producing more bodies has diminished. And I’m certainly not saying enlightened people don’t have children; it’s just not as common as with other couples. There can always be a good reason for having a child, because that fits into the interlocking chain of forgiveness. It’s always a question of what you use it for, and what the child eventually uses it for.

Thinking Outside the System

Once you’re thinking with the Holy Spirit, you can remember that what you’re seeing in a tragedy or natural disaster is a trick to perceive the victims as bodies instead of spirit, and thus, think of yourself as a body instead of spirit. But now, because you know better, you can choose the Holy Spirit’s miracle instead. J says, “A miracle is a correction. It does not create, or really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false.” Then you can think outside of the system. Think beyond the veil to the truth.

The Course teaches, “The full awareness of the Atonement, then, is the recognition that the separation never occurred.” So if the ego’s idea of separation never happened, you can chose to NOT believe the ego, believe the Holy Spirit instead, and remember the light of truth that is beyond the veil.

Be At Cause Instead of the Mercy of the Effect of the World

Because we believe in this world and think it’s the most important part of this universe, for it’s all we seem to have, it has power over us. It’s our belief that gives it that power and puts us at the effect of it. If you can learn how to withdraw that belief in the world, and put the belief where it really belongs, you can successfully undo the thought system that gave rise to the belief in the first place. You can return to a condition of cause and change your mind. Then you can, as the Course so clearly and succinctly puts it, “Choose once again if you would take you place among the saviors of the world, or would remain in hell and hold your brother there.” ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Enlightenment is Close to Heaven

Not anything is as good as Heaven, but when you’re enlightened, it’s as close as you can possibly be to Heaven. You’re experiencing it almost all the time. Your body feels so light that it’s like being in a dream. You can function here, but it’s so easy; it’s not like the life in the body most people are used to. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life    Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Did Jesus Really Overcome Death?

Thomas speaking to Gary R Renard:

Picture this. Jesus was crucified. We were wanted by the Romans. Most of us, especially Peter, were demoralized. Even Thaddaeus and I were very challenged. We understood the message of Jesus, as did Mary, Phillip, Stephen, and a few others; but this was still an extremely hard time for most of us. Did we have faith? Did Jesus really overcome death? Certainly none of us was in a frame of mind to go out and claim to the people that he did.

This is where you need to put two and two together. There’s no way that all the disciples would have gone out in to the world an attempted to teach the meaning of what Jesus was saying except for one fact: He really did appear to us as a body, just as real, or unreal, as anyone else’s body, after the Crucifixion. Anyone who doubts that J overcame death needs to consider that point carefully.

How else can you explain the behavior of the disciples unless J actually was resurrected? There would be no logical explanation for our transformed enthusiasm. Yes, his teachings and example before he dies were extraordinary and inspiring, but the Holy Spirit knew we were ready for a demonstration to encourage us. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will work with you in a way that will encourage you to keep going on your path. We got the encouragement that we needed.

Eventually, the world would change J’s message from a spiritual one to a religious one. But that didn’t matter to us at the time. There was no such thing as Christianity. We understood and believed that J had returned to God.

New Age Dogma

People’s thoughts were always responsible for their experience of life, but not always responsible for what happened to them or what they received materially. I remember a long time ago hearing Woody Allen talk about his fear of flying. He hated to travel by plane. One of the ways he got through it was that he would think of the ten worst things that could possibly happen; and then, when they didn’t happen, he felt better. This also helped him lessen his fear by realizing that most of the things people worry about never occur….

But wait a minute here. If the New Age dogma says that your thoughts attract what happens to you and which material things you attract into your life, then by focusing on the negative, our friend Woody should have been killed by his negative thoughts, or at least be ruined by them, a long, longtime ago. Instead, he has had an extremely successful life, full of the kind of accomplishments most people can only dream of.
