Forgiving Everything

It's just as important to forgive the little things as the apparently big things. Anything that disturbs your peace of mind is disturbing your peace of mind, and that's not the peace of God. You have to be willing to forgive everything equally. That's why the Course says miracles are all the same.

Murders Without Corpses

Every forgiving thought is an expression of love; every unforgiving thought is a murder. It doesn’t matter if there isn’t a corpse. The Benefits of True Forgiveness

True forgiveness can change the world, for the world is merely a symbol of the collective or the one ego mind. It Never Happened

Giving up Nothing in Exchange for Everything

Nobody is asking you to give up a lot in exchange for nothing. It's really the opposite. You will eventually come to realize that you are giving up nothing in exchange for everything - a state so awesome and joyous that to describe it in words is impossible. To attain this state of Being, however, you must be willing to undergo a difficult process of correction by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Completely Forgave the World

J completely forgave the world. His love and forgiveness were total and all-encompassing. He knew that if you partially forgive the world, then you will be partially forgiven, which is to remain divided. But if you completely forgive the world, then you will be completely forgiven. Thus, the great teaching of J and the Holy Spirit, is for forgiveness, but in a quantum sense, rather than the old-fashioned, Newtonian, subject-and-object kind of forgiveness. ~ Your Immortal Reality

Correcting the Universe

The word "correction" is not used by us in the usual way, because to correct something usually means you fix it up and keep it. When the false universe is finished being corrected by the Holy Spirit, it will no longer APPEAR to exist. Not About Looking Smart

As you forgive, you may find yourself to be more at a loss for words than you used to be. Don't worry about that. This isn't about looking smart; it's about being healed by the Holy Spirit. This process is already accelerating within you. As the Course says, '...you are no longer wholly insane.'

What Would Jesus Do?

Forgiveness isn't about being a do-gooder, not that there's anything wrong with doing good deeds if it turns you on. The Course is about being a right thinker. A lot of Christians ask nowadays, 'What would Jesus do?' There's only one correct answer to that question, and it would always be the same. The Ego's Plan

As far as the ego's plan is concerned, your seemingly multiple problems show up in this world in an attempt to get you to react - to feel bad, guilty, mad, defeated, bored, scared, inferior, self-conscious, annoyed, lonely, or superior and condescending. It's all some kind of a judgment; you give validity to the ego's world and reinforce the seeming reality of the separation and everything that goes with it.

Who You Going to Watch The Movie With?

Once you really understand that the great projection of time and space is just like a movie, then the question becomes who are you going to watch the movie with? You can watch it with the ego and listen to its interpretation, or you can watch it with the Holy Spirit and listen to Its interpretation.

Proper Use of Denial

As a response to the false condition of separation, real forgiveness denies what isn't true and accepts what is true. As J puts it in his Course, 'It denies the ability of anything not of God to affect you.'

God Did Not Create The World

 God did not create duality and He did not create the world. If he did, He would be the author of "a tale told by an idiot." But God is not an idiot. He can only be one of two things. He is either perfect Love, as the Bible says when it momentarily stumbles upon the truth, or He's an idiot. Trusting God

In order to really accept God's helper, the Holy Spirit, you must begin to trust God. You cannot trust Him until you recognize that it is not Him, but you, who is responsible for your experiences. You will feel guilty until you understand that this world is not real, and that nothing has really happened. That doesn't mean you shouldn't act responsibly in the illusion. It means you must understand certain things in order to apply the true forgiveness that enables the Holy Spirit to help you the most.  ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

Would I Accuse Myself?

Your job is to forgive, not to beg for the agreement of those seemingly separated minds you are forgiving. Remember this paragraph from the Workbook as another way of looking at forgiveness, ‘There is a very simple way to find the door to true forgiveness, and perceive it open wide in welcome. When you feel that you are tempted to accuse someone of sin in any form, do not allow your mind to dwell on what you think he did, for that is self-deception. Ask instead, “Would I accuse myself of doing this?” Thus will you see alternative for choice in terms that render choosing meaningful, and keep your mind as free of guilt and pain as God intended it to be, and as it is in truth.’ ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

The Guiltless Mind Cannot Suffer

When the Course says you cannot be hurt, it means that practicing the kind of forgiveness that knows you cannot really be hurt will eventually result in the same ability as J had, not to suffer or feel pain. How significant will your problems be then? As the Course says, "The guiltless mind cannot suffer."

Not Seeing Others as Bodies

Whenever you see another as limited to or by the body, you are imposing this limit on yourself. Are you willing to accept this, when your whole purpose for learning should be to escape from limitations?

TRUE FORGIVENESS: A Thought Process Example

You're not really there. If I think you are guilty or the cause of the problem, and if I made you up, then the imagined guilt and fear must be in me. Since the separation from God never occurred, I forgive "both" of us for what we haven't really done. Now there is only innocence, and I join with the Holy Spirit in peace.
