Compromise = No Truth

One of the fundamental differences between the teachings of J and the teachings of the world is this: The teachings of the world are the product of a split, unconscious mind. Once you have that, you have compromise; and once you have compromise, you no longer have the truth.

It's ALL in your Mind

Gary: Are you trying to tell me that my life is all in my head?
Arten: It's all in your mind.
Gary: My head is in my mind?
Arten: Your head, your brain, your body, your world, your entire universe, any parallel universes, and anything else that can be perceived are projections of the mind. They are all symbolic of just one thought. An even better way of thinking about this is to consider your universe to be a dream.

Love Need Nothing

With the Holy Spirit, everything you do can be an expression of love. Then it’s not what you do that matters – it’s the love. If you’re coming from a loving place, you’re not going to be doing bad things; you’re going to be doing good things. The forgiveness that undoes the ego leads to love automatically, because love and spirit are synonymous. Now what’s in your mind, which is cause, is love, instead of the ego. Love needs nothing because it already has everything in a condition of oneness with spirit. You don’t have to get anything from anybody.  ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life

Not Important

It’s heresy to the ego to think that what you do is not important. Of course what I do is important! Of course what happens in my life is very important! Why? You believe in it. If you didn’t believe it, it wouldn’t be important.

Having Children and Enlightenment

It’s not unusual for people who are having their last lifetime, or even the next to last, to not have children. The attraction of producing more bodies has diminished. And I’m certainly not saying enlightened people don’t have children; it’s just not as common as with other couples. There can always be a good reason for having a child, because that fits into the interlocking chain of forgiveness. It’s always a question of what you use it for, and what the child eventually uses it for.

Thinking Outside the System

Once you’re thinking with the Holy Spirit, you can remember that what you’re seeing in a tragedy or natural disaster is a trick to perceive the victims as bodies instead of spirit, and thus, think of yourself as a body instead of spirit. But now, because you know better, you can choose the Holy Spirit’s miracle instead. J says, “A miracle is a correction. It does not create, or really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false.” Then you can think outside of the system. Think beyond the veil to the truth.

The Course teaches, “The full awareness of the Atonement, then, is the recognition that the separation never occurred.” So if the ego’s idea of separation never happened, you can chose to NOT believe the ego, believe the Holy Spirit instead, and remember the light of truth that is beyond the veil.

Be At Cause Instead of the Mercy of the Effect of the World

Because we believe in this world and think it’s the most important part of this universe, for it’s all we seem to have, it has power over us. It’s our belief that gives it that power and puts us at the effect of it. If you can learn how to withdraw that belief in the world, and put the belief where it really belongs, you can successfully undo the thought system that gave rise to the belief in the first place. You can return to a condition of cause and change your mind. Then you can, as the Course so clearly and succinctly puts it, “Choose once again if you would take you place among the saviors of the world, or would remain in hell and hold your brother there.” ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Enlightenment is Close to Heaven

Not anything is as good as Heaven, but when you’re enlightened, it’s as close as you can possibly be to Heaven. You’re experiencing it almost all the time. Your body feels so light that it’s like being in a dream. You can function here, but it’s so easy; it’s not like the life in the body most people are used to. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One: The Answer to Life    Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Did Jesus Really Overcome Death?

Thomas speaking to Gary R Renard:

Picture this. Jesus was crucified. We were wanted by the Romans. Most of us, especially Peter, were demoralized. Even Thaddaeus and I were very challenged. We understood the message of Jesus, as did Mary, Phillip, Stephen, and a few others; but this was still an extremely hard time for most of us. Did we have faith? Did Jesus really overcome death? Certainly none of us was in a frame of mind to go out and claim to the people that he did.

This is where you need to put two and two together. There’s no way that all the disciples would have gone out in to the world an attempted to teach the meaning of what Jesus was saying except for one fact: He really did appear to us as a body, just as real, or unreal, as anyone else’s body, after the Crucifixion. Anyone who doubts that J overcame death needs to consider that point carefully.

How else can you explain the behavior of the disciples unless J actually was resurrected? There would be no logical explanation for our transformed enthusiasm. Yes, his teachings and example before he dies were extraordinary and inspiring, but the Holy Spirit knew we were ready for a demonstration to encourage us. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will work with you in a way that will encourage you to keep going on your path. We got the encouragement that we needed.

Eventually, the world would change J’s message from a spiritual one to a religious one. But that didn’t matter to us at the time. There was no such thing as Christianity. We understood and believed that J had returned to God.

New Age Dogma

People’s thoughts were always responsible for their experience of life, but not always responsible for what happened to them or what they received materially. I remember a long time ago hearing Woody Allen talk about his fear of flying. He hated to travel by plane. One of the ways he got through it was that he would think of the ten worst things that could possibly happen; and then, when they didn’t happen, he felt better. This also helped him lessen his fear by realizing that most of the things people worry about never occur….

But wait a minute here. If the New Age dogma says that your thoughts attract what happens to you and which material things you attract into your life, then by focusing on the negative, our friend Woody should have been killed by his negative thoughts, or at least be ruined by them, a long, longtime ago. Instead, he has had an extremely successful life, full of the kind of accomplishments most people can only dream of.

Rather Be Judged by God

Gary: You know, if I ever have a choice between being judged by God or being judged by people, I'll take my chances with God any day.

Arten: You DO have a choice, and the decision you described is a wise one. Extend the same forgiveness to your brothers and sisters that God extends to you. That's how you make it yours.

Space is as Meaningless as Time

There is only ONE time, or in terms of the illusion, there WAS only one time. You took this one time and, just like with the illusion of space, you divided and sub-divided it into seemingly endless parts so they'd look different instead of the same - just as you made up countless people who would seem different instead of the same. Time and space were necessary because there had to be a place for these people to seem to operate IN. This helps cover up the fact that they're operating in a dream. As the Course says, "Ultimately, space is as meaningless as time. Both are merely beliefs." ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

Jesus in Your Dreams

Gary: I remembered to ask J for help in the dream, and I felt his strength take over.

Pursah: Yes. At some point the Course's thought system becomes so much a part of you that you'll choose the strength of Christ even when you're asleep at night, which means you'll often choose that same strength automatically after you lay your body aside. That should be a comforting thought for you, not only because it will make you less fearful of death, but because it confirms that even if you died today you'd still take your learning with you - even though you're not a master. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

Laugh at Death

What is a shadow to the living? They but walk past and it is gone. But what of those whose dedication is not to live; the black-draped “sinners,” the ego’s mournful chorus, plodding so heavily away from life, dragging their chains and marching in the slow procession that honors their grim master, lord of death?

Touch any one of them with the gentle hands of forgiveness, and watch the chains fall away, along with yours. See him throw aside the black robe he was wearing to his funeral, and hear him laugh at death. The sentence sin would lay upon him he can escape through your forgiveness. This is no arrogance. It is the Will of God.

Giving Up What's Separate

The body doesn’t exist and can’t create, and all the mind can do is choose spirit instead of the ego and its projections, a projection being anything that appears to be separate from anything, and that would include the body.

There’s nothing meaningful in the concept of being a ‘co-creator’ with God on the level of the world, because J is saying that the only meaningful thing the mind can do that involves any kind of creative ability is to give up whatever appears to be separate. That doesn’t mean you give it up physically, which would just make it real to the mind; you give it up by not believing in it, and choose perfect spirit as your identity instead.  ~ Your Immortal Reality    Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Highest of Attainers and Babbling Fools

The religion or spirituality you believe in does not determine how spiritually advanced you are in terms of your awareness. There are Christians who are among the very highest of attainers, and there are Christians who are babbling fools. This is true of all religions, philosophies, and spiritual forms, without exception.
~ The Disappearance of the Universe

As I noted in Dude, Where's My Jesus Fish,  in regards to aforementioned quote from Disappearance, "From my personal observation, ‘the babbling fools’ theory certainly holds water with both the on-line and off-line Course community – that’s for damn sure! (LOL) These are the folks who J might refer to as ‘the self-accusing shrieks of sinners mad with guilt’ who may or may not understand the metaphysics of the Course, and go on to apply their understanding of it in a very misguided way, using it as a weapon, rather than using the Course for what it’s meant for – practicing forgiveness."

Absolved of Guilt

Everyone will have their own particular forgiveness lessons, and as they go along and forgive with the Holy Spirit, and put everything they do more and more under His control, they will reach the immediate and eventually the long term goal of the Course. As J tells everyone in the Manual, "...To follow the Holy Spirit's guidance is to let yourself be absolved of guilt." ~ The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

A Course In Miracles in Society

It will take time for the principles of A Course in Miracles to be understood by society, and the overwhelming majority of people will continue to believe as they always have. They'll continue to live in denial. They will try to bring God into the world and spiritualize the universe, thinking there is some kind of compassionate intelligence behind what is really a murderous thought. They will see death as a part of a ‘circle of life,’ when it is really just a symbol of the great mistake. So they'll gloss everything over. Nobody will talk about the fact that half of your homeless and your prisoners should be getting treatment in mental institutions, or that more police die by suicide than in the line of duty.

Unconscious Guilt Will Play Itself Out Until it is Forgiven

Everyone who comes to this world did so with an unconscious knowledge of what was going to happen. They chose their fate, and they have the opportunities to learn their lessons from whatever occurs. You might think we'd be doing people a favor by helping them avoid their problems, but the truth is they'd just have to go through the same kinds of things all over again anyway, because the unconscious guilt would continue to play itself out until it's forgiven.

Even if it doesn't always look that way to you, the best thing to do is learn how to forgive no matter WHAT appears to happen. That's the only real way out of this whole nightmare - and even if it doesn't seem like a nightmare to some people, it always turns into one eventually.

No Compromise

No compromise in this is possible. There is either a god of fear or One of Love. The world attempts a thousand compromises, and will attempt a thousand more. Not one can be acceptable to God's teachers, because not one could be acceptable to God. He did not make death because He did not make fear. Both are equally meaningless to Him.  ~ J-Dog, The Voice of A Course in Miracles

Can You Be Lost When You're Found?

Without the fear of God, what could induce you to abandon Him? What toys or trinkets in the gap could serve to hold you back an instant form His Love? Would you allow the body to say ”no” to Heaven’s calling, were you not afraid to find a loss of self in finding God? Yet can your self be lost by being found?

You Give Up Nothing

Until you realize you give up nothing, until you understand there is no loss, you will have some regrets about the way that you have chosen. And you will not see the many gains your choice has offered you. Their cause has been effected, and they must be present where their cause has entered in.

No One Special in Reality

Everything in your universe is set up to convince you of the uniqueness and reality of your body, and thus the validity of the ego's entire system. That's why the ego is always trying to make it look like God made the world, and have you continue to fear Him while also having Him be the alleged cause of your life.

Related to the fact that the ego wanted to take over God's job anyway, it WANTS you to spiritualize bodies, like J's even though it was meaningless to J, and it craves for you to spiritualize different places and objects. This makes some of them more special than others and thus ALL of them real.

If God made the world and its bodies then YOU must be real. This legitimizes your alleged individual existence, and it also keeps you running away from your one real problem. Most important it also keeps your attention away from the one real ANSWER to your problem - the Holy Spirit, who is NOT in the world but in your mind.  ~The Disappearance of the Universe

Who Has Need for Sin?

Who has need for sin? Only the lonely and alone, who see their brothers different from themselves. The Churches Hate Mystics

A great spiritual master like Buddha or Jesus was about pointing people in the right direction and empowering them as to how to return to their source, return to God. They were about empowering the individual to do that for themselves. Churches and religious institutions hate mystics. The reason they hate mystics is because if you can go to God on your own, then what do you need them for?
