Strength vs Weakness

If you need something - and you would have to lack it to need it - then you can remember that it's just a substitute for God, and that a sense of separation from God is the only real problem. There's Only One Truth!

Everybody is trying to find and express their truth. Their so-called truth is actually designed to keep them stuck where they are. What J is teaching in his Course is that the truth is not different for everyone. It is not relative. He's saying the truth is the truth whether you understand and agree with it or not. The truth is not subject to your interpretation, and neither is his Course. He's the Teacher, and you're the student. As you're walking through your dream movie, which you wrote and directed and then forgot about so it would seem real, forgive what you made and return to God. The Real Goal is Heaven

The only real power you have here is the power to choose between the ego and the Holy spirit. In the process, if you happen to change dimensions of time through the Holy Spirit's collapsing of time and thus have a different scenario play itself out within the fixed script, then you should consider that to be a fringe benefit. That's not what the Course is about though. The real goal is Heaven, but the short term goal is peace, and the end of all pain and suffering.  ~ Your Immortal Reality

Feeling Superior

Everyone participates equally in the script and ends up with just as many so-called good lives and bad lives as everyone else. How much money or success you get has absolutely nothing to do with how spiritually enlightened you are. You are the Same as Jesus

The Jesus of A Course in Miracles is not the same version of Jesus in Christianity, and the two thought systems are not compatible. For Christianity, their suffering image of J the body is extra special. He is different than you in the sense that he alone is God's only begotten son. But the J of the Course informs you that because you and he are one, then you are equally God's only begotten Son or Christ - not any different than him - and furthermore, you can eventually experience this.

What Will Money Buy You?

Looking with Kindness

Even though what you do isn't the focus, what you do is a result of what you think. So sometimes you can tell a lot about people by the way they are. How you treat other people is a pretty good indication of how you feel about yourself. If you're looking at people with hostility, you're saying that you have a mind that's in conflict. If you're looking at them with kindness, it's a symptom of a mind that has peace. Not only that, but it will determine and reinforce how you feel about yourself.

Real Forgiveness Denies the False

As a response to the false condition of separation, real forgiveness denies what isn't true and accepts what is true. As J puts it in his Course, 'It denies the ability of anything not of God to affect you.'

Nothing's Happened

 If nothing's happened, and if the Course teaches anything it's that nothing's happened, then you're innocent. Thus as you forgive your brothers and sisters, your mind realizes simultaneously that you are forgiven. The Universe is Overrated

There's nothing in your universe that doesn't follow the pattern of decay and death, and there's nothing here that can seemingly live without something else dying. Your world is quite impressive until you learn to really look. Forgiving No Matter What Happens

To forgive means to give ahead of time. In other words, your attitude is that you're ready to forgive, no matter what it is that comes up in your awareness. At first, that seems like a tall order. Yet I promise you the day will come when you'll be capable of laughing at anything the ego throws at you - just like J could. Your Unconscious Guilt

The guilt in your unconscious is more terrible and even more acute than what you see or feel on the surface because of you're proximity to it - it's in your unconscious. That was the reason for the whole mis-creation of the universe in the first place. The need to escape your guilt and your terrible, misguided fear of God. Now you have a world of bodies where the contents of your mind, are seen symbolically as being outside of you, in the world and in other people. You get to be the innocent victim of the world rather than the maker of it.

Nothing Spiritual About the Universe

It will take time for the principles of A Course in Miracles to be understood by society, and the overwhelming majority of people will continue to believe as they always have. They'll continue to live in denial. They will try to bring God into the world and spiritualize the universe, thinking there is some kind of compassionate intelligence behind what is really a murderous thought. It's All About Application

At some point, the serious spiritual student and teacher will have to take everything he or she has learned and actually apply it to every person, situation, or event that comes up in front of their face on any given day. What is True Forgiveness?

The Deep, Vicious Crap

The conscious projection you see all around you is an entire level removed from the unconscious mind. So while at times the universe you see can be horrible and frightening, it's nothing compared to the awful thought system it springs from. In fact, because the projection you see is a defense, you could say that the universe exists because it is tolerable to you compared to what's in your unconscious mind. The world may not always be tolerable to everyone – often resulting in murders and suicides – but it's still a walk in the park compared to the deep, vicious crap that's underneath the surface. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

Their Use Will Give Them Meaning

Pursah: We always talk to you about the things you're interested in, Gary. That's one of the ways we make forgiveness relevant to your life. These aren't theories. They're supposed to be applied to whatever you're interested in and whatever's happening in your dream. That's how true forgiveness works.
