The Proper Use of Denial

The thought system of love and the thought system of fear are both forms of denial. One of them, the Holy Spirit's teaching, leads to Heaven by uncovering and reversing the ego's denial of the truth. As the Course puts it about the inner peace that is a result of this forgiveness process, “It denies the ability of anything not of God to affect you. This is the proper use of denial.”

Chipping Away at Unconscoius Guilt

Like almost all people, you have some very deeply buried guilt you don't know about, which is why you still have some fear. It will take even more forgiveness, chipping away at unconscious guilt, for you to wake up completely. That's why we keep emphasizing forgiveness; it's what wakes you up.

Correction of the Mind

Go At Your Own Pace

Practical Method of Forgiveness

Knowing this world is an illusion is not enough by itself. Without its practical method of forgiveness, A Course in Miracles would be nothing but a beautiful and useless book - fuel for debate and the games of the ego. Fortunately, as J says in the Introduction of the Clarification of Terms, 'This is not a course in philosophical speculation. It is concerned only with Atonement, or the correction of perception. Virtual Reality Game

The body, the universe, and everything in it are just pictures in your mind, parts of a virtual reality game. Perhaps at times it's a rather convincing forgery of life but it's a fake. Don't look there for your salvation. Real Freedom

The only real freedom you have is to choose to return to God by listening to the Voice for Him, instead of continuing indefinitely within a fixed system that has nothing to do with Him. Your brain isn't hard wired to know God; your mind tells your brain what to do! There's Nothing to Forgive

If there is no world, then there's nothing to forgive, and recognizing that fact in the events, situations, and people you see is advanced forgiveness, because now you're not forgiving other people for something they've really done, you're recognizing that they haven't really done anything. So you're actually forgiving yourself for dreaming them. That distinction is vital. Nothing Out There To Make you Feel Bad

If the Course is saying there is no world, then there are not really any people out there who are smarter or more gifted than you. There are not really any people out there who are richer than you, or any who are more famous than you, or getting more sex than you, or doing whatever is necessary to make you feel angry, inferior, or guilty. There's not really anyone coming after you for whatever reason. There are no problems or threats that can harm what you really are in any way.

Only Forgiveness and Your Healing Matters

The Holy Spirit knows that with the exception of forgiveness, it doesn’t matter what you do. The ego wants what you do to be important. As a way of intruding on your spirituality and delaying the truth, it tries to make what you do in the world important and special. Yet, to the Holy Spirit, what you do for Jesus or for God is not important. How can anything that occurs in an illusion be important if you actually understand it's not real?

Only forgiveness and your healing matter. People Are Like Ghosts

People are like ghosts, except on a seemingly different level. They think their bodies are alive, but they're not. They just see what they want to see. The World is Your Movie

As you attain mastery, you really understand the whole idea of the world being your movie, and that what you’re watching is all your projection; it’s not coming from someone else’s mind because there is only one mind. That’s why all judgment is folly.

Yes, the projection you call the universe is coming from a different, split-off level than the one you are currently experiencing. That’s why it seems real if you let it be real. On this level, the body appears to be experiencing something outside itself, but what appears to be outside you is merely a MACRO view that is being projected by your own mind, and your experience of it here is merely a MICRO view that is being projected by your own mind! Releasing Your Unconscious Guilt

It is inevitable that those who suffer guilt will attempt to displace it, because they do believe in it. Yet though they suffer, they will not look within and let it go. Vigilance is Mandatory
