Jesus Doesn't Hold Back

Jesus in A Course in Miracles doesn't hold back about the true nature of this world, and what it would say about God if He really were the one responsible for it:

Death is the symbol of the fear of God. His Love is blotted out in the idea, which holds it from awareness like a shield held up to obscure the sun. The grimness of the symbol is enough to show it cannot coexist with God. It holds an image of the Son of God in which he is 'laid to rest' in devastation's arms, where worms wait to greet him and to last a little while by his destruction. Yet the worms as well are doomed to be destroyed as certainly. And so do all things live because of death. Devouring is nature's 'law of life.' God is insane, and fear alone is real.

It Really All is Just a Dream

Don't Be Weird

This is how you should always think of another person. Memorize it and say it in your mind to others when it’s appropriate. Obviously there will be times when you’re carrying on a conversation with someone. Don’t stop and think of this and then say it to them in your mind. Carry on a normal conversation. Always be appropriate. Don’t be weird. When you don’t have to talk, and you have a chance to send these words in your mind to another mind, think of the following:

You are Spirit. Whole and innocent. All is forgiven and released.

Saying these words in your mind to another is a way to have it be true about yourself in your own unconscious mind, and it allows the Holy Spirit to heal and release the unconscious guilt that binds you to the universe of form.

Your Alleged Individual Existence

Everything in your universe is set up to convince you of the uniqueness and reality of your body, and thus the validity of the ego's entire system. That's why the ego is always trying to make it look like God made the world, and have you continue to fear Him while also having Him be the alleged cause of your life.

Related to the fact that the ego wanted to take over God's job anyway, it WANTS you to spiritualize bodies, like J's even though it was meaningless to J, and it craves for you to spiritualize different places and objects. This makes some of them more special than others and thus ALL of them real.

If God made the world and its bodies then YOU must be real. This legitimizes your alleged individual existence, and it also keeps you running away from your one real problem. Choosing Perfect Spirit as your Identity

The body doesn’t exist and can’t create, and all the mind can do is choose spirit instead of the ego and its projections, a projection being anything that appears to be separate from anything, and that would include the body.

There’s nothing meaningful in the concept of being a ‘co-creator’ with God on the level of the world, because J is saying that the only meaningful thing the mind can do that involves any kind of creative ability is to give up whatever appears to be separate. That doesn’t mean you give it up physically, which would just make it real to the mind; you give it up by not believing in it, and choose perfect spirit as your identity instead. ~ Your Immortal Reality

The Direction of the Mind

The Course teaches that the direction of the mind cannot help but be determined by the thought system to which it adheres. Reality is Love

This is not a book about trying to make spiritual what cannot be made spiritual. It's a book about going home to spirit. It's about reality. That reality is love, but certainly not love in the way in which the world traditionally thinks of it. This is a love that cannot be explained, only experienced. Still, it's possible to experience this reality even while we appear to be here as bodies. We are not bodies, but it does look and feel like we are. It's not my purpose to deny people their experience that they are bodies. It's simply my purpose to demonstrate that this is a FALSE experience.

How Long Do You Want to Prolong Your Suffering?

Just as a navigator or computer constantly corrects the course of a jet airline along its route, the Holy Spirit is always correcting you, no matter what you may appear to do or on what level of spiritual awareness you may appear to be. It may be possible to ignore Him, but it is never possible to lose Him. The jet airline is always going off course, but through constant correction it arrives at its destination. So will you arrive at your destination. It's a done deal; you couldn't screw it up if you tried. The real question is, how long do you want to prolong your suffering?

The Present Moment

PURSAH: Now Gary, don’t talk to Jesus about easy. He went all the way, and you’re well on your way. Jesus demonstrated that nothing is impossible with God, including the complete absence of pain. You’ve done well with your recent forgiveness work, despite your complaining here, so why don’t you just be like a duck?

GARY: Okay, I’ll bite. What does that mean?

ARTEN: A duck doesn’t look behind itself. It’s hard for a duck to do that, so it usually doesn’t bother. It just sees what’s right in front of its face and ignores what’s behind it. All that matters is what’s up right now. There’s no thinking about the past.

GARY: You’re saying the past should be out of my awareness—that all I should be thinking of is what there is to deal with at the present moment. Then the future will take care of itself.

ARTEN: Yes, but we’re not talking about leaving it at that, like some of the popular spiritual teachings do. Any attempt to remain in the present moment will fail unless certain work is done by the student. That’s because there is something in the mind that

prevents you from staying in the present moment. Most spiritualities don’t even know about it, much less teach you how to have it healed. Also, the most popular teachers of the Course don’t know about it or teach you how to have it healed, because they haven’t really learned the Course.

The Answer to Life

The answer to life is to replace the false experience of being a seemingly separate being, a spatial being, with the true experience of being perfect Spirit, which is not just non-spatial, but beyond the universe of time and space altogether. Its' the experience that great spirituality is directed toward, which literally is the answer to life and its most difficult questions.
