Literal and Metaphor

The non-dualistic truth should be taken literally, but anything else is a metaphor. If you understand that – 2000 years ago or today – Jesus makes sense. His Course makes sense all the way through, and the sayings he really said 2000 years ago that survived also makes sense. And if you don’t understand that, the Course appears to be contradicting itself. There are people who have given up on it because they thought it was contradicting itself when it wasn’t. That’s just one of many reasons why it’s important that teachers know what they’re talking about.
