come up to me sometimes on a break at a workshop, and they think they
have to give up money, sex, their goals and dreams, and even their
relationships. I’ve got news for them. Thirty or forty years from now,
they’ll have to do that anyway. The body isn’t gonna last forever. So
why not use that time to build something that will last forever. That
is the difference between building your house upon the rock or upon the sand.
And you know what? You can still have the sand, too! You can live your
normal life, forgive as you go along, and still build your house upon
the rock of God. This is a very practical spiritual path because it’s
not about changing your life – it’s about changing your mind about your
life.
