Unconscious Resistance

Don’t forget, there’s tremendous unconscious resistance to really getting this (the Holy Spirit's true forgiveness) and doing it. It’s not a matter of intelligence; it’s a question of the ego’s resistance. This is death to the ego, and on some level the ego senses it. And the ego will come up with a thousand different ways to distract you from the truth. Of course its first goal is to convince you that you’re a body, but it will come up with many other distractions as well.
