War Isn't Art

War isn't art, it's psychosis. But why shouldn't you try to spiritualize it? You try to spiritualize everything else. I'm not just talking about Sun Tsu's "The Art of War." You'll eventually have to realize that you can't spiritualize anything that is not spirit which means you can't really spiritualize anything in the universe of form. The truly spiritual is only outside of it. That is where you really belong, and will eventually return.  ~ The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/photo

Going Beyond the World

Grace is an aspect of the Love of God which is most like the state prevailing in the unity of truth. It is the world’s most lofty aspiration, for it leads beyond the world entirely. ~ J-Dog, The Voice of A Course in Miracles   Facebook.com/JDogACIM

Learn to Laugh at Death

What a lot of people don’t realize about the Last Supper was that there was a lot of laughter among the disciples that night, as well as from Jesus and Mary Magdalene. They usually looked like a normal couple. They had no airs or pretenses about them. That famous painting of the Last Supper, although it’s not perfect, does a good job of showing them together that night. As for the laughter, look at the Psalm of David. That’s been read at a lot of people’s funerals even thought it doesn’t have anything to do with dying. It’s a way of living, fearless living. You can learn to laugh at death. But Jesus and Mary loved that part of the scripture. It says, “Yay though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.” Of course!

The Universe is not Worth the Price of Admission

You will not find compromise with us, and you will not always like it. That doesn't matter. If we gave you everything you think you want, you'd be looking for something else a month later. You don't need us to help you feel good about a universe that was never worth the price of admission, and never will be. There is something much better to feel good about.  ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

My Salvation Comes from Me

In regards to this spiritual path, I have to do my part and choose forgiveness. Vicarious salvation that is magically brought to me by an outside force or figure can not work. Nobody else can wake up from the dream for me. Indeed, there is no one else to wake up from the dream. That's why the Course says, 'My salvation comes from me.' It is up to me to change my mind about the world and choose the miracle.

The Gift of Grace

Grace is acceptance of the Love of God within a world of seeming hate and fear. By grace alone the hate and fear are gone, for grace presents a state so opposite to everything the world contains, that those whose minds are lighted by the gift of grace can not believe the world of fear is real.

True Forgiveness Leads to Enlightenment

Enlightenment or resurrection is waking up from the dream and recognizing the truth that has always been a always will be.  And true forgiveness can't help but lead to this.  ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

Resurrection is of the Mind

Resurrection is something that happens in your mind and has nothing to do with your body.  Believing it does have to do with the body makes the body very important - the exact opposite of J's real message.

You Can Overcome the Cross

Do not make the pathetic error of “clinging to the old rugged cross.”  The only message of the crucifixion is that you can overcome the cross.  Until then you are free to crucify yourself as often as you choose.  ~ J-Dog, The Voice of A Course in Miracles    Facebook.com/JDogACIM/post

Sin and Death are not Real

No one can die for anyone, and death does not atone for sin.  But you can live to show it is not real.

The Guiltless Mind Cannot Suffer

As the Course says, ‘The guiltless mind cannot suffer.’  It blows the whole idea of glorifying sacrifice right out of the water.  Because pain is not a physical process, it's a mental process, and if you healed all the unconscious guilt in the mind, then you couldn't feel any pain.  That changes the message of the Crucifixion from the idea of worshiping suffering and sacrifice to a demonstration that if you were healed, then it would be impossible for you to feel any pain or to suffer.  But suffering, like people now believe J did, is a hallmark of the religion that he had nothing to do with, but that was founded in his name. ~ Your Immortal Reality

Fear Binds the World; Forgiveness Sets it Free

The law of forgiveness is this: Fear binds the world, forgiveness sets it free. The world feels solid to you because fear binds it. It didn't feel solid to J because he had forgiven the world. That's why the nails didn't hurt J as they were being driven into his flesh. Being guiltless, his mind could not suffer - and someday you will attain the condition where you cannot suffer. That is the destiny the Holy Spirit holds out to you when you forgive the episodic fantasies of your bodily addicted ego.

The Crucifixion was Nothing!

Even though it appeared to be a terrible attack, the crucifixion was really nothing to J, because he was so totally identified with the invulnerable Love of God, which he knew he really was, instead of illusions like the body. The fact that the crucifixion and J's supposed suffering for others on the cross are central ideas to Christianity is just an indication of how much his message was misunderstood and distorted.  ~ Your Immortal Reality   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

God Has Nothing to Do With the World

It’s not Jesus that some people don't like. It’s the behavior-oriented, Biblical version of him who’s been shoved down their throats all their lives that they can’t stand. Christianity is so conflicted it openly promotes teachings that are diametrically opposed to one another. How is one supposed to deal with that? People will eventually have to stop blaming Jesus for some of the ludicrous things Christianity has done and continues to do in his name. He has no more to do with these things than God has to do with this world.   ~ The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

Palm Sunday

This is Palm Sunday, the celebration of victory and the acceptance of the truth. Let us not spend this holy week brooding on the crucifixion of God's Son, but happily in the celebration of his release. For Easter is the sign of peace, not pain. A slain Christ has no meaning. But a risen Christ becomes the symbol of the Son of God's forgiveness on himself; the sign he looks upon himself as healed and whole.

Sin is Not Real

When you are tempted to believe that sin is real, remember this: If sin is real, both God and you are not. If sin is real, God must be at war with Himself. He must be split, and torn between good and evil; partly sane and partially insane. For He must have created what wills to destroy Him, and has the power to do so. Is it not easier to believe that you have been mistaken than to believe in this?

See Sin or Heaven?

Sin has no place in Heaven, where its results are alien and can no more enter than can their source. And therein lies your need to see your brother sinless. In him IS Heaven. See sin in him instead, and Heaven is lost to you.   ~ J-Dog, The Voice of A Course in Miracles   Facebook.com/JDogACIM

The Insignificance of the Body

Arten: The whole idea of sex being a bad thing never came from God and it never came from J. People have a lot of assumptions, but J didn’t come to the world in order to start some religion so people could make other people wrong for having bodies and wanting to use them. He taught forgiveness, and still does, in order to teach people the total INSIGNIFICANCE of the body.
Gary: So I can live and forgive simultaneously – and it’s possible to have both an erection and a resurrection.
Arten: That’s true – just not at the same time! At some point you'll have to choose the body or spirit, once and for all.

No Need to Fear God

Fear of death is symbolic of the fear of God, and without guilt in your unconscious mind it would be impossible for you to fear either. J wasn’t afraid of death, and he certainly wasn’t afraid of God. There’s no more need for you to fear your Father than there was for him to. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

The Unconscious Guilt in the Mind

To illustrate just how much the ego resists looking at the guilt in the mind, all you need to do is consider that despite the fact that A Course in Miracles is very much about the healing of this unconscious guilt, most of the teachers of the Course never even mention it. ~The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

The Four Cornerstones of Healing

These four statements from the Course are like cornerstones of J's entire attitude about healing:

1 - Only salvation can be said to cure.

2 - Atonement does not heal the sick, for that is not a cure. It takes away the guilt that makes the sickness possible. And that is cure indeed.

3 - Being sane, the mind heals the body because it has been healed. The sane mind cannot conceive of illness because it cannot conceive of attacking anyone or anything.

4 - The ego believes that by punishing itself it will mitigate the punishment of God. Yet even in this it is arrogant. It attributes to God a punishing intent, and then takes this intent as its own prerogative.

The Happy Dream

The happy dream is necessary because if the rug of time and space got pulled out from under me suddenly, it would be too much for me to handle. The dream of separation seems too real for me to wake up suddenly without crapping a brick. As the Course puts it, 'So fearful is the dream, so seeming real, he could not waken to reality without the sweat of terror and a scream of mortal fear, unless a gentler dream preceded his awaking, and allowed his calmer mind to welcome, not to fear, the Voice that calls with love to waken him; a gentler dream, in which his suffering was healed and where his brother was his friend.'

He's my friend because, for one thing, I can't get home without him! Forgiving the images I see as my separated brothers and sisters, which are really symbolic of myself, is the only way out of this hell hole. Like the Course asks, 'Can you to whom God says, "Release My Son!" be tempted not to listen, when you learn that it is you for whom He asks release? ~ Gary Renard, The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/DWMJFphoto   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo   Facebook.com/photo

Important to Know the Purpose of the Dream

The world is just an insignificant dream.  But knowing the world is an illusion is not enough.  If you don’t know the purpose of the dream and how to reinterpret the images you are seeing, then the general teaching that the world is an illusion is of very limited value.

The Universe Does Not Exist in Reality

When the false universe is finished being corrected by the Holy Spirit, it will no longer appear to exist. I say it will no longer APPEAR to exist because it does not exist in reality. The true Universe is God's Universe, Or Heaven - and Heaven has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the false universe. However, there is a way of looking at your universe that will help you return to your true home with God.  ~ The Disappearance of the Universe   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

An Act of Love or a Call for Love

Since the Course teaches that you have only two emotions, love and fear, then the Holy Spirit sees everything in the world as either an expression of love or a call for love. Now if someone's expressing love, the appropriate response is love. And if someone is calling out for love, the appropriate response is love. Under the Holy Spirit's thought system, the proper response to any situation is always love. When you think with the Holy Spirit, you're consistent in your attitude, which is love.

Mikey's Note: Of course, forgiveness doesn't mean you have to hang out with those you appear to be forgiving.

Do You Forgive?

Are you invulnerable? Then the world is harmless in your sight. Do you forgive? Then is the world forgiving, for you have forgiven it its trespasses, and so it looks on you with eyes that see as yours. Are you a body? So is all the world perceived as treacherous, and out to kill. Are you a spirit, deathless, and without the promise of corruption and the stain of sin upon? So the world is seen as stable, fully worthy of your trust; a happy place to rest in for a while, where nothing need be feared, but only loved.

Going to the Movies 100 Years from Now

Pursah: A hundred years from now you won’t just be able to go to the movies, you’ll be able to go IN the movie. They’ll be holographic – totally lifelike. You’ll be able to meet and interact with people who aren’t there, like in your life now, and they will seem completely real to you, right down to the touch. You already have the technology today where you can feel things that aren’t there. In the future, you’ll have movies that mimic reality so completely that you won’t be able to tell the difference between the real illusion and the phony illusion.

Gary: Wow. Can you, like, have sex in the movie and stuff?

Pursah: Yes, but of course there will be a big moral debate about it. The Christian right will freak, and those kinds of movies won’t be available everywhere.

Gary: Imagine the temptation to think you’re a body, and to keep coming back for more, so you can act out your fantasies!

Pursah: Down, boy. Remember something, Gary. If you’re a Course in Miracles student, then it doesn’t matter if the image you’re seeing is one that’s in a movie that seems completely real, or one you see in your everyday life that seems completely real. They are both equally forgivable because they are both equally untrue. Even if you forget where you are, all you ever have to do is forgive what’s right in front of your face.
