These four statements from the Course are like cornerstones of J's entire attitude about healing:
1 - Only salvation can be said to cure.
2 - Atonement does not heal the sick, for that is not a cure. It takes away the guilt that makes the sickness possible. And that is cure indeed.
3 - Being sane, the mind heals the body because it has been healed. The
sane mind cannot conceive of illness because it cannot conceive of
attacking anyone or anything.
4 - The ego believes that by
punishing itself it will mitigate the punishment of God. Yet even in
this it is arrogant. It attributes to God a punishing intent, and then
takes this intent as its own prerogative.
