People have been taught all their lives that God created the world. Now I didn’t have any problem with the idea that God didn’t create this world, and in fact doesn’t have anything to do with it. For me, that came as a tremendous relief, because I couldn’t understand how God could allow such terrible things to happen to good people. Then it turned out it wasn’t Him who did it, it was us; the one ego appearing as many through the idea of separation. This is our projection and Heaven is still perfect, but some people are still married to the idea of this being some beautiful thing created by the Divine, even though everything in it decays, falls apart and dies.
