The Ego's Script vs the Holy Spirit's Script

The script that the Holy Spirit wrote does not take place in the world. Remember, there is no world! And even though this is a course in cause and not effect, the first thing most Course teachers and students do is take the Course and put it right out there on the screen and make it about fixing the world. So now they're going to save a world that isn't there. No. The Holy Spirit's script is a different interpretation of the ego's script. The ego's script is what happens. You could also call it karma. That's a false, illusory cause and effect that seems to happen on the screen including what appears to happen to your own body. But even the body is just an effect. It's a symptom, a symbol of separation.

The Holy Spirit's script takes place in the mind. You learn how to use your one real power and choose the Holy Spirit's interpretation of what you're seeing. The Paradox of Time

The Course's view of time is mind-bending. That's because time has a paradox. On the one hand, time is holographic. Everything happens all at once and, according to the Course, it's already over. Past, present, and future occur simultaneously, as Einstien pointed out, and which the Course would agree with, except the Course would say it just appeared to occur. Then, aside from the holographic model, there's the false experience of linearity. Understanding the Course

Gary: I've talked to countless people who gave up on the Course and had it sitting on their bookshelves at home for years, and then they read our books and went back to the Course because they got it. You can't apply something to your life if you don't understand it, but now they did. That alone makes all the crap I've had to go trough worth it.

Arten: What you or anyone else goes through is worth it only if you forgive it. Always remember what it's for. So the purpose of our work is to give a linear presentation of the Course that empowers people to grasp it in such a way that they can read it, understand it, and do it.

The Miracle Takes Place in the Mind

The Course is hard to understand because it's a holographic presentation. It doesn't spell things out for you in a linear manner. The Course starts out with its most advanced principles. Look at number one in the Principles of Miracles section. It says, "There is no order of difficulty in miracles." There's no way that anyone could read that and have any idea what it means.

First of all, you don't even know what a miracle is yet. The reason J called it A Course in Miracles was because he wanted to change the definition of the word MIRACLE. Instead of people thinking a miracle is something that happens out there on the screen you call the world - which is just the effect, like the burning bush, for example - he wanted people to start thinking of a miracle as something that happens in the mind, which is cause. Yes, the miracle may or may not show up as a symbol on the screen, but the real miracle takes place when you change your mind and practice true forgiveness with the Holy Spirit instead of thinking with the ego. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One

Hell Doesn't Exist

According to J, anything that isn't the perfect oneness of Heaven is hell. And you know, when you think about it, all the scary things you see in those old books that have drawings of hell - people burning and being decapitated and stuff - can actually happen to you here! You don't have to go to hell for that, because if you're not in Heaven then you are in hell. But since what is all encompassing can have no opposite, hell doesn't really exist, not anywhere, despite any appearances.

The Happy Dream

It is possible to live the happy dream that J talks about. His Course is a happy form of spirituality. It's not the suffering, morose, religious dogma that people are used to. When something comes up to forgive, as it always does in a marriage, don't forget what it's for. If you use it as the Holy Spirit would have you use it, and think of the other person as being what they really are, then you'll have a Holy relationship. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One

The Biggest Myth in Human History

At the time of the Crucifixion, J couldn't feel any pain whatsoever. He could not suffer. That's just one reason why the idea of him suffering and sacrificing himself for the sins of others is the biggest myth in human history. He couldn't suffer, and sacrifice wasn't a part of his perception. A body can sacrifice itself, if you identify with it, but the lesson of the Crucifixion was that J could not be hurt, because he was not a body. He didn't identify himself with the body. In his mind he was experiencing his perfect oneness with God. What he really was could not BE killed. It's possible for you to experience that. The Guiltless Mind Cannot Suffer

People today live better than royalty did back then (during the times of Jesus) but they don't appreciate it, which shows you that the toys of the world don't make people truly happy. It may excite them temporarily, but it always fades. Still, if you undo the guilt in your mind, you can be joyous. You'll also suffer less. Not Against the Rules

If you undo the ego, you'll end up enjoying your life more, not less. That's because there's less unconscious guilt in your mind, and if you feel less guilty you enjoy everything more, and I do mean everything. So always remember, it's not against the rules to have a good time.

The Universe is Not Impressive

Repetition appears to exist in time, but if the right message is being repeated, it undoes time. Time, like space, is just a separation idea. You have different times and different places. yet there's no such thing. Everything in the universe of time and space is based on separation. Everything has a beginning and an end, a border or a limit. You've got to learn to not be taken in by the seeming impressiveness of the universe. The Holy Spirit Denies the Ego

If there is no world, then there was no world that was here before you came here, and there is no world that will be here for you to leave behind when you go. It never existed, and neither did you as a separate being. What you really are, and what you always will be, is perfect spirit, in a condition of perfect oneness with your Creator. Always remember this:

A Course in Miracles Teachers

If you teach the kind of forgiveness that makes it real, then you're not really teaching A Course in Miracles. How many Course teachers do you see out there - including the most famous ones who are on TV - talk about forgiveness, yet they never get into what real forgiveness is? That's why they're on TV, because they don't go all the way with this. They still make it real. They're safe. You're not on TV because you do go all the way with it. You don't make it real. You're not safe. You tell the truth. And so you're too radical for the pop spirituality crowd. Embrace that. Somebody's got to do it.

As for the others, when they have the guided gust to go out there on TV and tell people what the Course actually says - that there is no world; that we forgive people not because they've really done something, but because they haven't really done anything because they don't exist; and that the unconscious mind will never be healed until you know the difference between reality and the dream, and are loyal to only one of those things in your mind - then they can call themselves A Course in miracles teachers. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One   Facebook.com/DWMJF/photo

A Dream is a Dream

People have to remember that events in a dream do appear to happen, but that doesn't mean that they're real. You had dreams in bed last night that seemed so real that for all intents and purposes, that dream was reality for you. It's only when you awakened that you understood it wasn't true.

Forgiveness Thought Process

Gary: While we're talking about forgiveness lessons, how do you forgive yourself? You gave me a thought process about it a while back, but people keep asking me that question.

Arten: That's because they don't do the thought process. But that is an important question for everyone. We told you not to say you're sorry. People should catch themselves when they use certain words. If you say you're sorry, then correct yourself in your mind. You don't have to say things out loud. What you think is even more powerful then what you say, because the thought always comes first, even if you'don't articulate it. So think this in your mind, because this is how the Holy Spirit corrects you:

I am innocent, and nothing has happened. The Holy Spirit knows what I am. I am awakening in God.

When you think this way, you cannot help but have you unconscious mind undergo a healing by the Holy Spirit. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One

Going through Tragedies

When going through tragedies, that's when you should remember Ken Wapnick's advice, "Don't forget how to be normal." Let people grieve. Let them  have their experience. Eventually they'll be able to forgive the tragedy, when they're ready. The Little Things

It's the little everyday things you forgive that add up to salvation. By practicing forgiveness on those everyday things - not getting what you want, for example - your mind gets into the habit of forgiveness. Then, when something that appears to be really big happens that you need to forgive, you'll be much more likely to be able to do it because your mind has been trained to forgive. I'm not saying it will be easy to forgive those seemingly big things, but you've made it much more possible because of your practice, even if it takes you awhile to forgive them. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One

Laughter

Laughter is definitely of the Holy Spirit, as long as it's not as someone else's expense. Laughter helps you feel and experience that this world cannot be taken seriously. It's too crazy! It's worthy of laughter, not tears. Tears make it real and keep you stuck here. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One

Be Vigilant

The ego will keep throwing things at you, and most of the time it appears to be from the outside, even though it's really from the inside, but ultimately it's all the same, because none of it's true. That's why perseverance is the most important quality a Course student can have. When the Course says, "Be vigilant only for God and His Kingdom," it's not just blowing smoke. ~ Love Has Forgotten No One

...And the Memory Remains

When a past memory comes up that makes you feel badly, you should remember what the Course says it's for. It's for forgiveness, just like any other negative thing. Whether what's in your mind is from the past, present, or future doesn't matter. It's all the same because it's all equally untrue. Having bad memories is actually one form of what the Course calls mind wandering.

It says, "You are much too tolerant of mind wandering, and are passively condoning your mind's mis-creations." The ego loves mind wandering, and bad memories are a great way to keep you stuck in your bodily identification. Because the feelings that come along with the bad memories make you think that it's all true,  which means everything you remember happening really happened. That in turn, makes ALL of it real. But the Holy Spirit it telling you that NONE of it is real!

Behold the Great Projection!

The American Indians used to say, "Behold the great mystery." Well, the Course says, "Behold the great projection," because that's all it is. It's just one great big mother freakin' projection that we've bought into. It doesn't exist. Trusting the Holy Spirit

The Manual for Teachers in the Course teaches development of trust, but it's not some kind of a blind, religious faith. The Holy Spirit will earn your trust. It's your experience that will tell you the Holy Spirit is always with you, looking out for your true, best interest. And sometimes a symbol of spirit will show up in the world. Can't Always See the Results

The practicality of forgiveness can show itself in many ways, or the effects may not be observable at all. The Course says the miracle, which is the kind of forgiveness that comes from a place of cause and not effect, can "produce undreamed of changes in situations of which you are not even aware."

When J said, "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do," the reason they didn't know what they were dong was because they were projecting their unconscious guilt onto him. Absurd

There are some individuals who teach that everything J said 2000 years ago - and also those who teach that everything J says in the Course - should be taken literally. That's completely ABSURD. When it comes to what J says, the non-dualistic truth should be taken literally, but anything else is a metaphor. If you understand that - 2000 years ago or today - J makes sense. His Course makes sense all the way through, and the sayings he really said 2000 years ago that survived also make sense. And if you don't understand that, the Course appears to be contradicting itself. There are people who have given up on it because they thought it was contradicting itself when it wasn't. Can't Make What You're Forgiving Real

Because of the way the mind works, when you make what you're forgiving real, you do NOT free yourself. You tell your own unconscious mind that YOU are guilty. Got Gonads?

You can't forgive people because they did it. That's what the Course calls "Forgiveness to destroy." Forgiving that way is a waste of time. Yet even though 99 percent of Course teachers tell people to forgive, they don't teach people the kind of forgiveness that works. It doesn't undo the ego. They make what is being forgiven real. They don't have the gonads to tell people the world ISN'T real.

Unfairly Treated

Jesus says in the Course, "Beware of the temptation to perceive yourself unfairly treated." If you perceive yourself as unfairly treated, then you're making everything real, which makes the entire ego thought system of guilt real in your mind. The only way to find your innocence is to get that it's NOT real and forgive others for what they have not done in reality. And since it never happened, you can then think of them as being innocent. God is the Only Real Life

There is no real life except in God. That life, which you will experience permanently in Heaven after you attain enlightenment, is eternal life, which has no opposite. Eventually you'll return through true forgiveness, which enables you to undo your ego and go home to God. Any spirituality that doesn't teach you how to do that is going to take a long, long time. Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death

What a lot of people don't realize about the last Supper was that there was a lot of laughter among the disciples that night, as well as from J and Mary. They usually looked like a normal couple. They had no airs or pretenses about them. That famous painting of the Last Supper, although it's not perfect, does a good job of showing them together that night. As for the laughter, a look at the Psalm of David. That's been read at a lot of people's funerals even though it doesn't have anything to do with dying. It's a way of living, fearless living. You can learn to laugh at death. Both and J and Mary loved that part of the scripture.
