The
Course isn’t part of the self-help movement, even though people try to treat it
that way. Everybody wants to improve their life and make a lot of money. And
the Course doesn’t have anything against that. If it did it would be making it
real. But always remember, when you focus on the effect instead of the mind,
you’re making the effect real. You’re giving truth to something that isn’t
there. And as J puts it, “When you try to bring truth to illusions, you are
trying to make illusions real, and keep them by justifying your belief in them.
But to give illusions to truth is to enable truth to teach that the illusions
are unreal, and thus enable you to escape from them.”
