Because of the veil, the newness of experience will always be there from time to time, even when you get older. People always act like they’re the first people to ever have a baby, and they don’t realize that even if it’s their first baby, it’s not their first time having one. It’s only the forgetfulness that makes them block out the memory of all the other families they’ve had over thousands of dream lifetimes.
