People Are Born with the Ego Intact

The people of the world will never live in peace until the people of the world have inner peace. The problem must be solved on the level of cause, not the level of effect. Many famous teachers, from Marianne Williamson to David Hawkins, teach that people are born innocent, with a clean slate, and are then messed up by the world. IT'S NOT TRUE. People are born with the ego intact. It then plays itself out. If the ego weren't already there, then they never would have come here in the first place! Still, every lifetime is an opportunity to undo the ego and break the cycle of birth and death. And in the meantime, if you want to have world peace, the only way to do it in a lasting and meaningful way is to bring about a condition of inner peace within the people who appear to be here. As J says in his Course, what you see is "the outside picture of inward condition." ~ Your Immortal Reality
